Early variety with a strong plant and juicy fruit
The early-ripening strawberry variety Allegro is harvested shortly after Clery. Its fruit characteristics are excellent, producing juicy, uniform berries of medium size. Allegro has a high sugar content and boasts a very sweet flavor. The plant grows very well and requires less nitrogen fertilization than other varieties. The flower stalks are long, yet well protected by the tall, strong plant. At harvest, the flower stalks can sometimes be too long.
