High-yielding strawberry variety for protected cultivation
A new variety bred by Stefan Kraege specifically for protected cultivation, Aylin boasts very high yields. It falls within the mid-yielding range, similar to varieties like Sonsation. The fruits are uniformly shaped and have a beautiful sheen, resulting in an overall excellent skin appearance. Initial trials in Austria have shown no particular susceptibility to disease; however, preventative treatment against powdery mildew is recommended. It should also be noted that the fruit skin becomes more sensitive at high temperatures.
Currently, only tray or plugplants of the Aylin variety are available.
