Robust and glossy
The Daroyal strawberry variety ripens between Clery and Darselect. It has smooth, glossy fruit with dark flesh and good flavor. This early variety has a comparatively high yield, but the fruit does not store well. It is a full-grown, robust plant that is also well-suited for propagation. It is also well-suited for forcing under fleece or foil. Daroyal is a good variety for direct marketing and pick-your-own.
